Our members follow a structured dragon boat training program designed by our Coaching staff that is focused on building well-rounded paddlers. This includes gym and paddle erg sessions during the winter and paddling in dragon boats in the spring and summer months. Our training typically runs from November to the following September and are always looking for new members to join our crew!

Winter training (Nov. – Apr.)

Just because we live in New England doesn’t mean we stop our dragon boat training during the winter months! In fact, we train 2x a week as a team. We’re in two types of gyms focusing on strength & conditioning as well as paddle erg training that simulates the dragon boat stroke.

STRENGTH & CONDITIONING SESSIONS

When: Sundays | 11:00AM – 1:30PM

Where: CrossFit City Line (Watertown, MA)

PADDLE ERG (PERG) SESSIONS

When: Tuesdays | 7:00PM – 9:00PM

Water training (May – late Sept.)

Starting in the spring, we train on the water three times a week through the end of September. 

When:

  • Tuesday & Thursday evenings 6-8PM
  • Sunday mornings 9-11AM

Where: TBD

 

Racing at dragon boat festivals gives the crew something to train towards. The races we will be competing at in 2026 will be announced soon!
